Hayling Island sits between picturesque Langstone and Chichester Harbours and retains an unspoilt atmosphere combining rural country walking with popular Blue Flag beaches which lie on the North Shore of the Solent.
There is 3 miles of stunning coastline to visit and you can also find a range of watersports including wind surfing, scuba diving and sailing.
The striking 170 metre high structure is based on an original design chosen by the people of Portsmouth opened in 2005. Spinnaker Tower is visible up to 23 miles away. Visit to see breathtaking views of Portsmouth and Hayling Island. Try the Sky Walk at 100m, visit the Sky Garden at 110 metres or enjoy a bite to eat at one of the two cafés.

Hayling Seaside Railway
A delightful narrow guage light railway running along the seashore running passenger trains between Beachlands and Eastoke Corner. The Hayling Seaside Railway runs on weekends and Wednesdays throughout the year. Extra services run during school holidays.

Hayling Billy Coastal Path
A picturesque walk and cycle path which follows the old railway route. The path starts about 200 yards from the Whitehouse B & B and is popular for those with a love of nature due to its diverse habitats. With coast, marshland and meadows along the Hayling Island Billy Coastal Path an array of wildlife can be spotted all year round. Once you reach the south of the Island you will find a number of pubs to break for a drink, or eat lunch.

Goodwood needs no introduction, home to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and horse racing. On site there is also a sustainable restaurant sourcing organic meat from Home Farm just yards away. Located a 30 minute drive from Hayling Island we are an ideal location if you plan on visiting. Please note these events are very popular and bookings for The White House Bed & Breakfast will need to be made well in advance.

Southsea castle is located 30 minutes away from Hayling Island in Portsmouth. Open during the summer season this free attraction is a Tudor castle built during the reign of Henry VIII to protect the coast from attack. The castle was rumoured to be designed by Henry himself and incorperates a light house. There is now a courtyard café which is open all year round and onsite micro brewery too.

Fontwell Park Racecourse
Fontwell Park Racecourse is the only figure of 8 jump course in the UK. It has beautiful landscaped gardens and hosts 24 racing events each year. Alongside horse racing, Fontwell Park runs numerous events including an outdoor cinema and a family fun day.
Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth
Visit this famous maritime museum and come up close to Nelson’s legendary ship HMS Victory. The historic dockyards are 15 minutes from Hayling Island by car and trains depart regularly from Havant Railway Station.
